The Orquesta Ciudad de Granada (OCG) was created in 1990 as a classical symphonic orchestra under the direction of  Juan de Udaeta. Since the beginning of the 2008/09 season, Salvador Mas Conde has taken over that position. The OCG has been alternating its orchestral activities during its regular season in Granada, its province and the region of Andalusia, with important appearances elsewhere in Spain and abroad.  This ensemble has won many prizes.

This 8th ‘Jajejijojú’ Festival of Humour and Children’s Magic at the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga features the duo H20h!, the juggler from Malaga Tony Ramirez, the duo Magionetas, the magician Luis Manuel, British illusionist Cliff the Magician, and Javier Batanero, a former member of the Academia Palanca, among other performers.

Oviedo yet again displays its reputation as a quiet and elegant city, with the Auditorio Príncipe Felipe de Oviedo offering one of the most anticipated concerts. The Vienna Symphony Orchestra will perform within the International Piano Cycle led by the Italian conductor Fabio Luisi.

The exhibition ‘Mujeres de azul: la sección femenina en España (1939-1978)’, part of the programme that the Fundación Salamanca Ciudad de Cultura has organised for the next three months, will open this April 24th at the Sala de la Palabra of the Teatro Liceo.

Many living beings carry toxic and venomous substances that they can use to defend themselves from their predators or capture their prey. The exhibition ‘Veneno animal’ takes a look at the world of venom through live venomous animals, maquettes, interactive displays, computer graphics, audiovisual projections and historical elements. .

By now almost a tradition, the city of Malaga hosts yet another edition of the International Puppet Theatre Festival at the end of May. As in earlier editions of the festival, the Teatro Cánovas will offer its spectators some of the more interesting current developments in this genre of theatre.

The Cultural Activities Service of the University of Salamanca, manages four different exposing spaces, each one developing specific and specialized programs, including, some the more important and prestigious works of consecrated authors of photography and image. In Patio of Schools is located the exposing space of the same name, dedicated to photography. Also in this cloister, next to the Sky of Salamanca, you will find the exposing space showing exhibitions organized or proposed by the University Community. In the Hospedería Fonseca there are two exposing spaces, one dedicated to the contemporary art in all of its manifestations, denominated Exhibition Hall of the Hospedería de Fonseca, and another one, the Space of Experimental Art, destined to the artistic creation generated by the students of the University of Salamanca related to this field.

The rich patrimony conserved in the Museum, formed by more than 8,000 pieces inventoried, constitutes one of the best public collections of art of Spain. Their catalogue covers from the Average Age to century XX, including painting, sculpture, drawing, build graph, photograph and applied and industrial arts. It welcomes temporary exhibitions regularly and also it organizes cycles of conferences and cinematographic projections. The Museum is installed in three buildings of the old district of Oviedo: the Palace of Velarde, the century XVIII, to which is united a construction of 1940, and the House of Oviedo_Portal, century XVII.
